About the Author
Laura A. Jana, M.D., F.A.A.P., sits on the board of the Nebraska Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, is a columnist for Contemporary Pediatrics, and has served as an expert columnist for Babyzone.com. A former consultant to Dr. Benjamin Spock and the Disney Internet Group, she cofounded a national parenting media company and served as vice president for program development. She lives in Omaha, Nebraska. Jennifer Shu, M.D., F.A.A.P., is the editor of Baby and Child Health. She is a former chairperson of the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Young Physicians and the American Medical Association Young Physicians Section and remains active in both organizations. She has appeared on the Kids Healthworks series on the Discovery Channel and in national interviews as a representative of the medical community. She lives in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
